The campground is located down a long, winding dirt road, but the trek is worth it. Youll feel completely disconnected from the outside world, as there is no cell service or electricity. However, there is plenty of firewood for sale nearby. The sites are first-come, first-served, but the spacing between each site is large enough that you wont feel crowded. The nearby Fayette State Park is also worth a visit while youre in the area. Overall, Portage Bay State Forest Campground is an ideal place to unplug and enjoy the beauty of nature.
