Northland Outfitters is the perfect place to stay for a peaceful camping experience. With cell coverage that is hit or miss, wifi available, and a convenient spigot to fill the fresh water tank on our travel trailer, you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. There are fire rings, picnic tables, a BBQ grill, horseshoe pit, volleyball court, canoe, and kayak rentals available. The campground is close to the National Wildlife Refuge, where you can spot beavers, various birds, deer, and Bald Eagles. The nearby restaurant serves great comfort food. Enjoy a break from the heat with a tubing trip down the river with a launch from the grounds and get picked up by staff about half to 3/4s of a mile down river. The beach is only 20-5 minutes away, and the campground is perfectly located to see various things in the UP of Michigan.
