Staff is friendly and helpful. This campground is a great place to stay for a few days or an extended stay. Located in the city of Gladwin, it is nestled on the east side of the Cedar River and is well maintained. The sites are mostly dirt, with a few paved sites in the front, and there are lots of established trees, making the roads narrow but navigable. Each site has water and electric shared between sites, and there is a dump station at the exit. The campground is also close to trails and river access, and a few minutes walk to downtown for restaurants and bars. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the park is quiet even when full on weekends. There are lots of activities for both kids and adults, such as a playground, tennis and basketball courts, trails, and a beach area on the river. Canoes and kayaks can be rented from a local place, and there is Wi-Fi in the surrounding neighborhood, but not in the campground.
