GenieSummary

D.H. Day Campground is the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the beauty of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Located directly on Lake Michigans shoreline, the campground offers miles of beach to comb and cool, clear water to relax in. From atop the initial climb, you can turn back and behold the turquoise waters of the sandy bottomed Glen Lake. The campground is also connected to the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, a 20 mile paved trail for hiking, biking, walking, or skiing. All sites come with picnic tables and fire rings, and water spigots and pit toilets are scattered throughout the campground. Some sites even have direct access to the beach. Plus, the nearby towns of Empire and Glen Arbor offer great restaurants and drinks. Be aware that the campground requires a National Park Pass and that poison ivy can be found in the area. Enjoy the stunning views and all the outdoor activities the area has to offer!
