Thunder Bay Golf & RV Resort in Hillman, Michigan is a small RV campground that is part of a larger golf resort. The campground has a total of 24 spaces, with cement pads and full hookups. The park is very quiet and has an excellent WiFi connection. There are no restrooms in the RV campground, but there is a good restaurant on site and a lovely walking area. Despite being nestled amidst the golf course, the cart paths are open to walkers before or after the days golfers. The camp host is very helpful and guided us to our site. We were initially worried about being able to maneuver the trees with our 42 ft coach, but had no trouble at all. The WiFi is exceptional and our satellite had no issue with finding a connection. Our phone coverage was also very good. Our four-legged camper had a great time sniffing out the local deer! There are several packages available, including camping and golf. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the reasonable price of two nights for $39 using our Passport America discount. The resort has a simple check-in process and offers lodging in the main lodge and cabins as well. The RV sites are comfortably spaced out, with cable connections available even though there is no longer cable TV available. However, there are a decent variety of over-the-air channels available. The sites have FHU, but there are no restroom facilities within the RV campground. The golf course itself is a fun challenge and we recommend it, though the resort does not have a playground for children.
