Holly Recreation Area is a spacious and well-maintained campground where you can enjoy a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. The park offers plenty of activities, including hiking, biking, and kayaking. The roads are well-paved and easy to navigate, and the RV sites are spacious and well-spaced, providing a sense of privacy. If youre tent camping, youll appreciate the clean and well-maintained sites with fire rings and picnic tables. The park also has modern bathroom and shower facilities, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and a basketball court. Firewood and ice are available at the entrance as well. While there is no sewer or dump station, you can easily dispose of your waste off-site. The day-use area has a nice beach and some great hiking trails, and theres even a whoa zone (inflatable obstacles on the water, cost extra) to check out if youre feeling adventurous. Keep in mind that during certain times of the year, like May, invasive gypsy moth caterpillars can be present. However, this isnt a year-round issue. Regardless, Holly Recreation Area is a great destination for a weekend trip where you can relax and connect with nature.
