What others are saying about this campground
Black River Harbor Campground, located in Ironwood, MI, is a very nice and peaceful campground with beautiful and magical scenery. The campground sites are big and offer plenty of space between each other. You can find great fire pits and clean pit toilets throughout the area. There is no water, electric, or firewood to purchase nearby, but the close access to the beach and the amazing hiking opportunities make it a must-visit spot on your camping checklist. Along with breathtaking sunsets, there is a chance to see the northern lights (Aurora borealis) from the beach. Nearby, visitors can find hiking trails to various waterfalls. The interior road is recently paved, and the sites are level and spacious, but there is no water or dump station available in the campground. Although there is no cell phone service, its a nice tranquil place to stay and relax. Visitors should be aware that the sand flies can be terrible on some days, however, its not always the case and the mosquitoes tend to appear at night.
