What others are saying about this campground
Steamboat Park Campground in Jenison, MI is a quiet and well-maintained family-owned property with lovely river views. The process for booking was easy, even when arriving after office hours. The concrete pads by the sites are a nice upgrade and the pool area, though closed during off-season, looked new and clean. The bathrooms and showers were new and spotless. The campground features a playground for children and a pool, and guests may enjoy watching wildlife, including bald eagles catching fish. While the WiFi internet service may be flaky, the parks peaceful environment, with a beautiful river view, makes up for it. Some guests might find it less ideal for young children or those with special needs, as the playground structure is not very friendly for them, no toddler swings are available, and only a portion of the roads are paved. However, the campground is spacious and clean, with roomy sites suitable for bigger rigs.

From The Campground
Steamboat Park is a new (2017), RV campground near downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our park supports big rigs with large angled sites, paved roads and features 107 full hook-up campsites. Many sites are directly on the river with gently sloping shoreline and a sandy bottom. Watercraft are welcome at no extra charge. Guests may use our boat ramp and store trailers in our auxiliary parking area. As our guest, you have a short and easy drive to downtown Grand Rapids (only 7 miles away). You can explore all that the city has to offer. We also have entertainments right in the park. Be sure to take a ride on our reproduction paddle-wheel riverboat, The Grand Lady. We offer regular cruises with live music on board and you are welcome to pack a picnic lunch for the cruise. In the park, you can go swimming in our heated pool, or adventure out on the Grand River and the developing Grand River Greenway project with many new parks and trails. This summer, work begins on a new trail that will connect to downtown Grand Rapids through Millennium Park. Our family has enjoyed the natural beauty of the Grand River here for seven generations. We hope you will as well.
