GenieSummary
This small public campground on the north shore of Torch Lake is a great base for exploring the Keweenaw peninsula. Its within easy walking distance of several restaurants, and just one block from the main street of Lake Linden. The sites are either pull-through or back-in, and all are very long and level. Utilities worked well, though the wifi is very weak. Reservations are required, and no drop-in spots are available. The campground is clean and well-maintained, and has a beach, playground, disc golf course, and a 2.5-3 mile gravel walking trail. Its a great spot for a quiet getaway, although it can get noisy on weekends due to the locals. There is no sewer, but there is a dump station. The campground manager is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there is an abandoned EPA project on one side of the campground, so visitors should be aware of the possible pollutants. There is no wifi or cable, but there is a strong 3-G signal on AT&T. The nightly rate is weekly.
