This campground is a good option for those who want amenities like hookups, clean bathrooms, showers, and a general store; the surrounding area is also beautiful, with hiking, biking, and kayaking available. The campground has 3 different sections, all situated between Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake. While some sites provide little seclusion and privacy, campers at neighboring sites are generally quiet. The campground also offers easy access to hiking trails, including a short hike to Lake Michigan. There are plenty of activities to enjoy such as fishing, boating, and bike riding, and the park offers miles of hiking trails that take you through dense forests into sand dunes, onto the beach, and to the lake shore. One downside is the lack of cell service, as cell service is slim to none in the campground.
