Quiet. Affordable. This campground is a great place to stay for those looking for a no-frills camping experience. Located on a backroad, the campground is away from road noise and provides a peaceful atmosphere. The grass is taller than the picnic tables and there are old, rotting campers onsite, but for only $20 a night, you cant expect much. The owners are around in the evening to welcome visitors and have a fire by the office. The campground offers basic amenities such as 30 amp electric, water, a picnic table, and a firepit. There is a check-in board at the office that shows assigned sites and what is available for a particular night. Payment, firewood, smores, and eggs are on the honor system. There is a dump station and the pit toilets are clean. This is a great place to stay for those looking for a budget-friendly camping experience while visiting Mackinaw City or Mackinac Island.
