The campground is well maintained, with a camp host that is friendly and helpful. La Siesta Travel Hammock is a great campground located on the south shore of Indian Lake. The campground offers a variety of amenities including spacious sites with plenty of room for tents, RVs and campers, electric hookups, hot showers with good water pressure, and clean bathhouses. The campground is exceptionally well maintained and the atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The lake is a great spot for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and paddle boarding, and there are stairs around the campground for easy access. The campground is also conveniently located near Kitch-iti-kipi Springs, Fayette State Historic Park, and the Manistique River, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. The campground also offers a camp host who is friendly and helpful, and there is a self-service registration system with cash or check payments. Be sure to bring bug spray, however, as mosquitos can be brutal in the summer months.
