The campground offers a great view of Lake Superior and is a great location to explore the area. The sites are well maintained and the campground offers a variety of amenities such as hot showers, a dump station, and a camp store. However, there is no buffer for strong winds off of the lake and the highway is very close to the campground, resulting in constant noise. Additionally, some sites are low and flood after rains.

Located in the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on the shores of Lake Superior, Munising Tourist Park Campground is a city-owned campground that has been a stopping point for campers visiting Pictured Rocks since 1924. With its unique location on Lake Superior, it gives campers the ability to recreate on the lake while experiencing breathtaking views. The campground is just 3 miles west of Munising where campers will find boat rides such as Pictured Rocks Cruises, Glass Bottom Boat Cruises, and the Riptide Ride all located within 3 miles of the campground.
