What others are saying about this campground

This campground is a great spot for a family getaway. It is well maintained with fire rings, 30 and 50 amp sites available, full water and sewer hook ups, and a local map with all the things you may need while traveling such as stores, wal mart, fuel, hospital, etc. There are nice fishing ponds with no license required, a quaint playground with old equipment but lots of games (basketball, tetherball, etc), and plenty of land surrounding the campsites with tall, thick trees providing great privacy. The internet and cell service are both good, but can vary depending on where you are in the campground. The campground is spoiled by a persnickety, nosy old man owner on a golf cart scolding campers for having a bicycle across the line and into the next lot. However, there are also hiking trails through the woods and a rec room with a small laundry.

Spaulding Lake Campground is a family-friendly seasonal campground located in the beautiful southwest Michigan between Chicago and Detroit, just 20 miles from the towering dunes of Lake Michigan. The campground offers over 120 Full Hook Up sites and provides opportunities for everyone in the family including fishing and swimming ponds, playground, basketball court, and even free Wi-Fi. Spaulding Lake is easily accessible from all the major areas in the area and is nestled in the quiet rolling hills in one of the most peaceful settings you will find. The campground also provides discounts to serviceman and woman as well as AAA members. It is also the closest RV park to the University of Notre Dame.
