River Road RV Park & Campground in Ontonagon, MI is a small and quiet campground located near the bank of the river. Despite some initial concerns about a lack of confirmation emails, it turned out to be one of the nicest campgrounds during a journey across the UP of MI. The setting was beautiful and the sites were spacious, level, and situated under large shade trees. There were picnic tables scattered around the campground, providing plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. The campground is a FHU campground with scarce 50a service, and its located very close to the bank of the river. While there are some areas of improvement including the need for updates in bathhouses and showers, the laundry room was clean and functional with a small library. The campground is located close to Ontonagon, which is a small but friendly city with additional opportunities for exploration, including the nearby Lake of the Clouds. Overall, its a great find and a recommended stay for anyone visiting the area.
