GenieSummary
This campground is a great place to stay for a getaway. It is not really big rig friendly, but the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The sites are wide and most have green grass and are shaded. There is a fire pit and picnic table at each site, as well as a slide, swingsets, horseshoes, volleyball pit, basketball court, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The White Pine Trail runs right by the campground, so you can walk, jog, or bike for miles in either direction on a paved path. The campground also has a clean bathhouse/showers, a pavilion, and 3 camping cabins for rent. The only downside is that there are no concrete camp sites, and the ground can be soft, making it difficult to maneuver a big rig. There is also a lack of playground for the kids. However, the campground staff is very friendly and helpful, and there is a lovely short walk to the river with a view of small rapids.
