What others are saying about this campground
Hoeft State Park in Rogers City, MI is a beautiful campground near Lake Huron. The park runs the DNR Explorer program well. It is quiet and close to interesting sites. There are large campsites that are all in walking distance of the beach, which is a great spot for swimming. The bathrooms are very serviceable and the park is close to the highway with little truck traffic noise. The location is near shops in Rogers City and theres a nice lighthouse a few miles away. Visiting Ocqueoc Falls is one of the coolest parts of this trip. The park has a beautiful beach, plenty of trees, a stone and log pavilion, and a cool playground. The beach is very beautiful, sandy with clean water. Although the newer bathroom was closed due to a staff shortage, this is still one of the favorite state parks for camping.
