Higgins Lake KOA is a wooded campground located in Northern Michigan, offering a reasonable price and good location. The interior roads and pull-thrus have been deteriorating over the years, and the service areas are not kept clean. The park offers a 50 amp full hookup, pull thru site, and the staff tie up the machines to wash the cabin linens. Biking on the grounds is limited, especially for small kids due to the sloped terrain. The staff are friendly and there are lots of activities for kids to do, such as kayaking, canoeing, birding, hiking, and historical sites. The roads are dirt and cars/trucks parked on/along side of the roads make driving difficult.
