Good size lake and they have several different types of rental boats as well as nearby boat launch. This campground is located in Ludington, Scottville MI and offers visitors a wooded and shaded setting with 95% of the sites completely shaded. The beach is clean and clear and offers boat rentals and a camp store with games and ice cream. The lake is of a good size and there is a nearby boat launch. However, due to the tree cover, smoke can become trapped in the air and can be unhealthy for those with COPD and asthma. At busy times, there can be power blackouts and the rules are not always enforced. The owner is unconcerned with issues and the septic hook ups are not working, causing a golf cart vehicle to haul around a waste pump trailer. The sites are tight and cramped and the awning and slide out can take up more space than the site allows. Overall, this campground is not recommended.

Crystal Lake Campground is a beautiful forested campground located on a 165-acre spring-fed lake in Scottville, Michigan. The campground offers 160 sites in the forest, including 60 sites with full hook-up, and tent sites may be available. The amenities include clean tiled restrooms and showers, a camp store, an activities building, an ice cream parlor, a playground, a volleyball court, a basketball court, miniature golf, lighted roads, propane available, firewood for sale, and an ice bait disposal station. The activities include boat rentals, paddle boats, canoes, row boats, a sand walk-out beach, and family-friendly activities. The campground also offers discounts for holiday reservations and accepts cancellations with a full refund less $15.00 when cancellations are made 7 days prior to arrival.
