The campground is located on a river and they offer canoe trips. Located on the Rifle River, Riverview Campground offers canoe trips and trails for walking. They have a store at the office and staff are friendly, however, access is difficult as the road to the campground is gravel and not well maintained. The campground is a canoe livery first and foremost and the bathrooms/showers are used by anyone visiting. The site spaces are small and very close together, with 98% being back-ins and only a few suitable for big rigs. Although WiFi is available, it is slow and spotty. During busy times, like the 4th of July, there is excessive partying and drinking and people on the site may not be considerate of others. Despite these issues, some visitors had a good experience with the river being busy with floaters and the staff being helpful and friendly.

River View Campground & Canoe Livery is a modern campground located on the beautiful Rifle River in Sterling Michigan. We offer camping, canoeing, tubing and kayak rentals for groups and families. With well over 1 mile of river-front camping, River View Campground offers more river-front camping than any other destination along the Rifle River. Our 160 acre campground borders state forest lands and offers many hiking and mountain biking trails. Seasonal campsites and cabins are available for those who do not want the hassle and expense of hauling your RV. We take pride in our commitment to provide our guests with clean, up-to date facilities as well as a great experience with every visit.
