From The Campground

JoeIda is a rustic campground facility located in the heart of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The campground is located twenty-eight miles East of Munising, MI and eighteen miles West of Grand Marais, MI. We are located one-mile South of Kingston Lake and one-mile off Highway H58. The access road is what we would consider primitive, therefore the campground is better suited for tents, truck campers, truck/ trailers under forty foot in length. We have had large fifth wheel and camper units access the campground with no issues, based on your towing experience. We are also pet friendly and off-road vehicles are permitted.The facility is comprised of eight very large and secluded sites able to accommodate large groups in any of the sites. The campground is now taking reservations for advance dates and is still open to first come/ first serve campers CASH only at fee station. Each site has a large fire ring, large picnic table and ample parking area for many units. There is a vault toilet cleaned daily, hand pump water well, with exceptionally good drinking water.
