Make sure to bring bug spray and check yourself and your pets for ticks every night. The sites are mostly secluded and the campground is connected to a one mile trail that leads to the beach. There are also mountain bike trails, a remote control airplane field, and a shooting range. The lake is open to boating, kayaking, and other water sports, but it is not within walking distance. The sites have picnic tables, fire rings, paved pads, and electrical hookups, however, the hookups are sometimes far away from the designated RV parking pad. Restrooms and hot showers are available, and there is a small dog park by the beach.
