What others are saying about this campground
The campground is well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers could use some attention, as well as the playground, but overall it was a nice stay. The campground is conveniently located near Pictured Rocks hiking and the town of Munising. The sites are closely packed and not very private, but there is plenty of space and potential for improvement. The campground offers all the basics you need including campfire pits, picnic tables, and showers. There is also a Kamp Store with snacks and camping supplies. The pool is clean and looks nice, but it has a capacity of 70, so it can get crowded during peak season. WIFI and cable are available, but there is no cell service. All in all, this campground is a great option for those looking for easy access to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and a convenient base for exploring the area.

From The Campground
The wild beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior will lure you to this KOA, located near the bayfront community of Munising. After a day of adventure, just relax at the campground in front of your campfire or take a dip in the heated pool. Choose from full-hookup RV Sites, Tent Sites, and Cabins. Munising serves as the western gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, where multi-hued cliffs and immense sand dunes rise up from Superior's clear waters. Sign on for a boat cruise from Munising Harbor for the best perspective of Pictured Rocks' delicate rock formations, colored cliff walls, and caves. Or you can set off on a hike to enjoy the waterfalls, lighthouses, and beaches. A quick ferry takes passengers to Grand Island, a national recreation area best explored by tram, bicycle, or boat tour. Marquette, the Upper Peninsula's largest city and home to Northern Michigan University is less than an hour's drive west. Pool: June 24 - September 2. Max pull-thru length: 90 feet.
