Whitewater State Park is located in the beautiful valley and surrounded by rocky bluffs which offers great hiking trails. The campsites are nicely spaced apart including some located alongside the Whitewater river. Though there is a main road that runs between the two campgrounds with a speed limit of 55 mph, there isnt a lot of traffic. The park has a newer shower building and clean restrooms. The hiking trails offer different levels of difficulty and travel to Chimney Rock and Inspiration Point. The park is peaceful and offers plenty of wildlife with lots of birds, butterflies, and squirrels visiting campsites daily. There are minimal mosquitos and other flying insects. It is a perfect spot to spend the night with family and friends.
