This campground is the perfect destination for those looking for a peaceful and tranquil getaway. With mature trees providing shade and a beautiful lake for swimming and beach activities, this is a great spot for families, seniors, and anyone wanting a little bit of tranquility. The sites are spacious and can easily accommodate big rigs, with electric hookups and 10 sites with water, picnic tables, and fire rings. There is a boat ramp and fishing dock within the park, as well as a dump station. The campground is located 1.5 hours from the Twin Cities, and reservations are highly recommended, especially for weekend stays. There is no WiFi or cable TV, but the lake and beach activities more than make up for it. You can also hear the calls of the loons in the early morning.

Schroeder Regional Park & Campground is a lakeside park located in Wright County, MN. The park features a 51-unit overnight campground with electric hookups and showers, an attractive swimming beach on 837-acre Cedar Lake, a playground, a hiking trail, picnic grounds with a reservable shelter and sand volleyball courts, a boat launch with dock, a fishing pier, fish cleaning facilities, a sanitary dump station, and modern restrooms with showers. Camping fees are charged at $29/night for residents of Wright County and $33/night for non-residents, plus a $5 reservation fee. Boat launch fees are $3 for non-campers. Camping is open from April 28, 2023, through October 1, 2023, and there is an on-site manager for six months from mid-April to mid-October. Pets are not allowed to enter the beach area, park buildings, or day use picnic area, but are allowed in all other areas of the park including trails, and should be kept on a leash no longer than six feet.
