This campground is a hidden gem situated on the Chippewa River just outside of Benson, Minnesota. It offers full hookups with 50 amp service, a spacious campground with plenty of shade, and a fantastic steel fire pit and wood delivered by the owner. The campground is surrounded by woodlands and the riverbank and is close to the Glacial Lake State Park and the Glacial Ridge Trail, offering plenty of opportunity for exploring the rolling hills, forests and lakes in the area. There is also a super dog park and grocery just east on US-12, as well as a great coffee shop in Benson. The campground is clean, well lit and welcoming, with a modern and spotless bathhouse. It is a great place to relax for a couple of days, and a great spot for fishing. We had an encounter with a pair of swans on the side of the road next to a lake, and we were able to keep our distance and watch from inside the car. We would definitely recommend this campground, especially if you are self-contained.
