What others are saying about this campground
Chase Point Campground is located in the beautiful Scenic State Park in northern Minnesota. This campground offers a variety of camping options, including RV sites with hookups, tent sites, and remote backcountry sites that require either backpacking or boating in. The campground is surrounded by a variety of activities, including hiking, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming, fishing, and bird-watching. The Chase Point Trail is a gorgeous hike to the edge of the esker, and the boardwalk along Coon Lake provides easy access to the lake for kayaking and canoeing. The campground is roomy with decent privacy due to the trees and bushes along the road, and the campsites are spaced well and quite wooded. The park also has a beach, a camp store, and a gift shop. Unfortunately, the facilities are not kept up well, with cobwebs and bugs in the showers. If youre looking for a peaceful and scenic camping experience, Chase Point Campground is the perfect spot!

From The Campground
Scenic State Park is a beautiful park located in Minnesota. The park offers camping, hiking, fishing, boating, and many other outdoor activities. The park has three campgrounds: Yellow Medicine River Campground, horse campground, and backpack/watercraft campground. Please note that due to the closure of Highway 67, there is an unavoidable 16 to 20 mile drive to get from Yellow Medicine Campground on the east side to the park office, main entrance or horse campground on the west side. Visitors are advised to use the provided directions and coordinates instead of relying on GPS apps.
