The campground is a great location for downtown Duluth, Canal Park and the North Shore. RV campers praised the scenic location of this campground and its close proximity to Canal Park. It was noted that the bathrooms were clean, showers were modern and hot, and there was a new dock on the river. The WiFi and cell signal were good, but the dump station needed to be upgraded. The campground has a 24-mile biking paved path and lovely sites, but it was noted that the trees and brush separated the sites from the water and views. The office was closed when campers arrived, and the park had been overrun by Canada geese. The power was good, but the water pressure had been an issue at one point. It was also noted that the campground needs additional restroom/shower facilities, and that the utility poles, picnic tables, and fire rings were not always indicative of the sites.
