What others are saying about this campground
Red River State Recreation Area is a beautiful, spacious campground located in East Grand Forks, MN. It is situated on the east bank of the Red River, across from downtown Grand Forks, and is surrounded by a flood control levee on two sides, keeping noise down. The campground offers full hookups, with pull-through sites that are nicely spaced and private, with acres of grass around them. Each site also features a grassy lawn, huge oak tree for shade, and a privacy hedge from highway view. The roads are concrete and the sites are gravel, large and fairly level with fire pits and tables. There is a wide range of campers - from tenters to super-big rigs towing and traveling with additional vehicles. The campground is within walking distance of downtown, offering easy access to restaurants, movie theater, Cabelas, and more. There is also a paved path near the back of the park that takes you along the Red River, and a designated walkway on the bridges to cross the river into Grand Forks, ND. Stays are limited to 14 days, and there is a daily vehicle fee of $7.00.
