There is just a short drive into Ely for shops and cafes, or out of town to access hiking trails or lakes and rivers at the edge of the Boundary Waters. Fall Lake Campground is the perfect spot for a peaceful and enjoyable camping experience. Located in the Superior National Forest near Ely, MN, it is a tucked away campground surrounded by a lush forest and a beautiful lake. The campsites are huge and spread out, with picnic tables, fire grates, and tent pads. Some sites even have electric hookups and room for trailers. The beach is great for swimming and the camp store is a great place to stock up on supplies. The bathrooms are very clean and are serviced daily. The campground staff is very friendly and helpful. At night, you can enjoy the sounds of loons and owls, and the starry night sky. There is a short paved biking/hiking trail, and a boat ramp for easy access to the lake. The Brunton Echo 10-30 x 21 Monocular Scope is a great tool for bird watching or nature observation. There is also a mirror for signaling search and rescue teams if needed. Fall Lake Campground is the perfect spot for a peaceful and enjoyable camping experience.
