South Kawishiwi River Campground is a beautiful campground located in Superior National Forest. The campground offers 31 campsites, 14 of which have electricity. The historic log pavilion, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933, is available for rent and can accommodate up to 35 people. The campground offers a variety of activities including fishing, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, boating, and bird watching. The river to the north of the campground is part of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and permits are required. The campground also has a picnic area, swimming beach, shallow boat landing, and a 1-mile hiking trail.
