This campground is a great option for an overnight stay or for a longer stay if youre looking for a quiet, open country atmosphere. Located 30 minutes south of Minneapolis, its a big, mostly level grassy area with no trees to speak of and just the basics for a RV. There are no sewer hookups but there is water and 50 amp electric, as well as a nearby dump station. The sites are decently sized, and the campground host is very friendly and helpful. The rate is $45 a night, or $550 for a month, and there are no reservations, so you just show up and pick a site. Its a great value, but be aware that there are no resort amenities and during special events, like the county fair, the campground can get crowded.

The Dakota County Fairgrounds offers camping for visitors during the fair and off-season. The campground is located on the fairgrounds and offers easy access to all the fair's attractions. Amenities include water and electric hookups, dump station, and shower facilities. Activities include attending the fair, exploring the Heritage Village, and participating in the ATV Rodeo. Discounts are not available for camping at the fairgrounds. Reviews are not available at this time.
