Floodwood Municipal Campground is a great place to stay for a night while traveling through the area. It is conveniently located off Highway 2, has electric hookups, and is close to the St. Louis River. The campground is wooded and offers plenty of shade and mature trees. There are nine sites with 30 amp service, but no water or dump station. The campground is self-check-in, with no apparent monitoring or security. The bathrooms and showerhouse need some cleaning, but there is a nice tourist rest stop with restrooms a few blocks away. There is a campground host who helped with changing sites, and the grass is mowed. The price is good and the views of the river are lovely.
From The Campground
The Floodwood Campground is closed for the entire 2023 camping season for a complete upgrade. The City of Floodwood received a grant from the LCCMR ENTRF for $816,000 for major upgrades to the campground. These upgrades will be completed during the summer of 2023. We do hope you come back to see us in 2024 and are able to experience our “New” Campground! We apologize for the inconvenience.
