Frontenac State Park provides a beautiful getaway just an hour South of the Twin Cities, situated on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. The park features well-maintained RV campsites with electric hookup, non-electric sites and tent sites with more privacy. There are beautiful new bathrooms and individual locked showers available, which are very clean and well-maintained. The park has great trails that are well maintained for hiking with fantastic views, walking through prairies, and watching nature. The park offers excellent facilities with a beautiful view of Mississippi River, campgrounds that are clean, gravel, and surrounded with green grass. If you are looking forward to spending time in the midst of nature, then Frontenac State Park is a beautiful place to visit.

From The Campground
Frontenac State Park is a beautiful park located in Minnesota. The park offers camping, hiking, biking, fishing, and nature viewing opportunities. The park has three campgrounds: Yellow Medicine River Campground, backpack/watercraft campground, and horse campground. Please note that due to the permanent closure of Highway 67, there is now an unavoidable 16 to 20 mile drive to get from Yellow Medicine Campground on the east side to the park office, main entrance or horse campground on the west side. Be sure to use the correct directions and coordinates when using GPS to navigate to the park.
