Sherwood Forest Campground in Gilbert, MN is a professionally managed, well-maintained and safe campground ideal for overnighters and short stays. The campground is located just 3 blocks from downtown Gilbert and sits on a steep bluff that overlooks Lake-Ore-Be-Gone, an expansive and beautifully reclaimed open pit mine. The majority of sites are big-rig friendly, many with direct lake views and are pull-thru or back-in with W/E/S RV hook-ups with 30/50 or 30-Amp service. The interior lanes are easy to navigate and pets are welcome. The campground has a clean restroom and shower facility. Verizon connectivity is strong with 3-4 bars available. There is no cable TV, but most sites have satellite-friendly open sky views and free Wi-Fi, though signal strength can vary throughout the day. Sherwood Forest is a Good Sam discount accepted campground and located to explore Minnesotas Iron Range. It offers access to walking and biking trails, as well as boat ramp and lakeshore fishing on Lake-Ore-Be-Gone.
