GenieSummary

There are a few sites that are right on the lake with a short trail to get to the lake. The sites are wooded and private. There is a lodge close by for showers and firewood. The scenery is beautiful and there are some great hikes in the area. The loon songs at night are amazing and the stars are breathtaking. There is a small fee for showers and the firewood is a bit overpriced but overall a great place to get away.

From The Campground

Flour Lake Campground is located on the quiet shore of Flour Lake, which provides great fishing for bass, walleye, and lake trout. The half mile Honeymoon Bluff Trail is just 1/4 mile up the road from the campground and offers a great vista of Hungry Jack Lake. The campground has 37 sites for tent and RV camping, with some sites reservable through Recreation.gov. The eastern edge of Flour Lake is the border with the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and if you plan to enter the BWCAW, you will need either a self-issued day use permit available at the campground or an overnight permit. The campground has a solar-powered faucet for water and an outhouse (vault style) for restrooms. The maximum number of people per site is nine, and there is space for one vehicle and one towed vehicle (such as a boat trailer). Additional vehicles on the site require an additional half fee and must park on the spur. No vehicles may park on the grass or where they impede traffic. The campground is operated by a concessionaire, and the Gunflint Ranger District is the information center.
