What others are saying
The campground is situated on the edge of Gull Lake and has great views of the lake. Its a rustic campground with tent camping only, and its located at the end of the Gunflint Trail surrounded by the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Its a great place for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking with plenty of wildlife to spot. Theres a Chik Wauk museum nearby and the campground has a concessionaire with a store, cafe, and shower house. The sites are kept well maintained and are flat, with a picnic table and fire pit. The campground is very secluded and quiet, with no cell service, making it the perfect place to escape. There are vault toilets up the hill and you can rent kayaks and canoes to explore the BWCAW. Trails End is a great spot for anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the Boundary Waters.

From The Campground
Trail's End Campground is located in Superior National Forest and provides access to entry points 54, 55, & K for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The campground features bedrock outcrops among white and red pine, and many campsites are hike-in, view or access water, or have steep drop-offs. Commercial services include canoe rental, outfitting, showers, and sales of groceries and gear, and a restaurant. The campground has both canoe and boat launches and a wide range of commercial services. It is an excellent spot to see fire ecology in action.
