This campground is located at the Brown County Fairgrounds and is perfect for those looking for a quiet and safe place to stay. It is big rig friendly and offers 30/50A electric, water, dump station, and a lake. There is a bath house with no-pay showers and pay laundry facility, as well as a self-pay station. The one road into the fairgrounds is on asphalt then turns to packed gravel and you have to go on the grass to get to any site. There are huge pine trees and the grass is bumpy. Verizon air card and cell phone work well here. There are some sites with full hook up that require reservations, but unfortunately there is a tradition of certain people getting first pick of sites. Generators are not recommended if they produce a lot of heat. The campground is open on holiday weekends and is a great place for boondockers or tenters who dont need electric. It is close to groceries, dining, hardware, auto supplies, and more.
