Sawmill Campground is a great place to stay when visiting Mankato, MN. Located just off of Hwy 14 at the Rockford Road exit and east a couple of miles on County Rd 41, the campground is in a rural setting with open farm ground and across from the North Links Golf Course. The campground consists of mostly full hookup pull-through sites and a few back-in full hookup sites, all of which are nicely spaced apart and feature rock and grass surrounding. The owner is friendly and lives on site, and there is a small playground for the kids. The campground also offers firewood for sale, recycling, showers and laundry, and a clubhouse building with rest rooms. The WiFi signal is generally good, but the bandwidth connection to the campground is pretty bad. For $33 a night, Sawmill Campground is a great price and offers plenty of room for larger RVs. The owner is not always up to date with technology for booking and such, but overall it is a great place to stay.

Pull-through sites have 50, 30, and 120 amp service, and some have decks. Back-in sites have 30 and 50 amp service. The campground also offers a restroom and shower building, storm shelter, laundry on site, and welcomes tents and popups. They are pet-friendly and offer free Wi-Fi. Firewood and ice are available for purchase. Camping cabins are also available for rent. Local attractions include North Links Golf Course, Minneopa State Park, Minnemishinona Falls, Caswell Park, and Bensen Park.
