What others are saying about this campground
The campsite itself had a picnic table, fire pit, bear box and latrine. The bugs werent too bad, but bring bug spray just in case. The lake was beautiful and the stars were amazing - we were so glad we chose this spot! This campground is located on a lake, offering stunning views and a variety of wildlife. It is a one mile hike from the parking lot, with a hilly terrain, and a quarter mile off the main path. It is a great spot for a family portrait session in the fall, with the vibrant colors of the season. The campsites are private and include two tent pads, a few areas to hammock, a fire ring with a large grill, a small bench, a picnic table, a bear box and a latrine. The camper cabins are cozy and include two bunks with a queen on the bottom and a twin on top. The site is secluded and offers a great level of privacy, but can get muddy and buggy quickly in the event of a storm. There are also a variety of birds to observe, including owls and woodpeckers. Be sure to bring bug spray, as the area can be buggy in the late summer, as well as your own toilet paper. Firewood can be purchased in town, and the sunset over the lake in the fall is not to be missed.
