The sites were spacious and well separated. We enjoyed the trails and the swimming pond. The only negative was that there was no WIFI or antenna channels. Tmobile hot spot worked well. Firewood for sale at park office. This campground offers a variety of sites, including electric, non-electric and primitive. The park was well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. There are many trails for hiking and a sand bottom chlorinated swimming pool. The sites are spacious, but not very private and the roads are tight and have large trees, making backing in difficult for larger trailers. There is no WIFI or antenna channels, but T-Mobile hot spot works. Firewood is available for purchase at the park office. It is conveniently located right in town and is surprisingly quiet.

From The Campground
Flandrau State Park is a beautiful park located in Minnesota. The park offers camping, hiking, fishing, boating, and many other outdoor activities. The park has three campgrounds: Yellow Medicine River Campground, backpack/watercraft campground, and horse campground. Please note that the highway that used to run through the park has been permanently closed, and there is now an unavoidable 16 to 20 mile drive to get from Yellow Medicine Campground on the east side to the park office, main entrance or horse campground on the west side. Be sure to use the correct directions and coordinates in your GPS to avoid getting lost.
