From The Campground
Echo Lake Campground & Backcountry Sites is located on the south shore of Echo Lake in the western Superior National Forest. The campground is surrounded by a mix of aspen, balsam, spruce, and pine trees. Echo Lake is popular for walleye and panfish fishing. The campground has 24 campsites, a swimming area, playground, picnic area, boat landing, and a 1 1/2 mile hiking trail. There are also 3 dispersed sites located on Echo Lake, which are accessible by boat only. The campground is open with full amenities and some sites are reservable through Reservation.gov's Echo Lake Campground page. The fees for a single site are $20/night and for a group site are $28/night. Maximum of 9 people per site. There is space for 2 vehicles (a towed camper counts as 1 vehicle). Additional vehicles on the site require additional half fee and must park on the spur. No vehicles may park on the grass or where they impede traffic. ATVs are not allowed.
