Camp Itasca is a private park ideally located just minutes away from the north entrance of Itasca State Park and the Mississippi River headwaters. Most of the sites do not have shade during midday, but there are nearby woods and shade available. The street is gravel and the sites are dirt, but its still a pleasant park, and the host is incredibly friendly. Despite having many permanent or long-term campers, the park was quiet during our stay. The site we stayed in was a back-in site with a fire ring and picnic table on grass. The site had enough space for our 34 TT and truck. Electricity, water, and sewer were in the rear and ranged from 20A, 30A, to 50A. Sewer was not threaded. Our neighbors were relatively close, but we were still able to maintain our privacy. There was decent LTE service available from AT&T and Verizon with AT&T recording a speed test at 27.1 Mbps down and 0.64 Mbps up and Verizon at 190 kbps and 12 Mbps up. Free WiFi was available with speeds clocking in at 140 kbps down and 2.6 Mbps up. Overall, we had a great time and would stay at Camp Itasca again.
