This rustic campground is a hidden gem located in a beautiful oak-birch-pine forest and right on a lake. It is perfect for tent campers, as there are no hookups or amenities like a bath house. There are 10 sites that are next to the water, providing access to fishing, swimming, and docking a small watercraft. Most of the sites are surrounded by trees for privacy, while a few are open with no trees between them, making them ideal for trailers and 5th wheels or large groups. There is also a day use area with a beach and boat launch, plus a nice nature trail. There are water stations and vault toilets but no showers. The campground can fill up quickly, so it is best to arrive before 10am on Fridays. There is plenty to do here, including fishing, swimming, kayaking, and exploring other lakes.

From The Campground

Finland Campground and day use area is currently closed for all use, due to extreme winter storm damage and a spruce budworm infestation. We need to assess and remove a great number of hazard trees before the area is safe for visitors. We will reopen the campground as soon as it is safe, but with this degree of damage, we expect it will be closed for two to four months.
