This campground is a great option for those looking for a quiet and isolated camping experience. Located on a lake, it offers full hookup sites, plenty of pull through lots, and is close to the Twin Cities. The showers and bathhouses are clean and the hot water runs forever. There is a small swimming beach and boat launch available. The nightly rate for the full hookup site is $32 with the dog. Unfortunately, the sites are hit and miss when it comes to fire pits and picnic tables, and the grass is overgrown in some areas due to lack of maintenance. The road to get there is gravel and some of the seasonal units are old and falling apart. There is a shooting range nearby, so gun shots can be heard on the weekends. There is also a run down trailer, a bob cat, a tractor, and several old cars in view. The campground staff had called twice to change our site and the picnic table on the site was falling apart and covered with moss.
