Despite the presence of ATVs and UTVs in and around Black Beach Campground due to the abundance of local trails, this should not discourage anyone from staying here. The campground is conveniently located near several MN state parks and offers easy access to Duluth for shopping. The clean and well-designed restroom and shower facilities are noteworthy, and the campsites themselves are well-maintained and easily accessible. There is a nice walk to Black Beach, though an official walking path from lower campground sites up to the bathrooms/showers would be a welcome addition. Overall, campers seem to respect quiet hours so noise isnt usually a problem. While the campsites may lack shade trees, they are spacious enough to accommodate larger units. Black Beach Campground is ideal for those who want to explore the area and enjoy nearby attractions.

Black Beach Municipal Campground is located in Silver Bay, Minnesota. The campground offers electric-only sites and amenities such as fish cleaning facilities, a playground, and an ATV washing station. Pets are allowed but must be accompanied by the owner and kept on a leash. The campground has strict policies regarding fires, fireworks, and solicitation. Guests are expected to clean up after themselves and keep facilities clean. The campground is not liable for loss, theft, injury, or damage to people or property. The City of Silver Bay reserves the right to assess a penalty for late checkouts and remove property left after 4:00 p.m. on the date of departure.
