Located along the North Shore of Minnesota, the park offers a variety of activities and amenities for visitors. The main attraction is the five majestic waterfalls, accessible via a paved bike path, riverfront trail, or the Visitor Center parking lot. There are also numerous hiking and biking trails, a unique swimming experience at the base of the falls or on the Lake, and educational visitor center. Campers will enjoy the variety of campsites, ranging from full hookups to primitive, with plenty of privacy. Facilities are clean and updated with plenty of toilets and showers, and the park is accessible for those with strollers or wheelchairs. The Rustic Inn just south of the park entrance offers great homemade food and an extensive pie menu. Dont miss out on the CCC history at the park, and explore the Gooseberry River and environs at a special quiet time of year.

The park offers a variety of recreational activities such as biking, boating, camping, canoeing/kayaking, cross-country skiing, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting & trapping, nature viewing, off-highway vehicle riding, shooting sports, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. The park has several campgrounds including the Yellow Medicine Campground, the horse campground, and the backpack/watercraft campground. The park also offers several amenities such as fishing piers, maps, shooting ranges, and wildlife management areas.
