What others are saying about this campground
Sakatah Lake State Park is a beautiful and serene campground located within an hours drive of the Twin Cities. The park boasts numerous hiking paths, biking trails, and a paved walking trail that runs through it. The sites are well spaced-out, and many of them offer a lot of privacy. The park offers a fire ring and picnic table at each site and provides firewood at the office. Though close to the highway and neighboring lakeside residents, the park is a great place to get away from the city without driving too far. The restrooms are clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. While there are bugs due to the swampy areas, they were not too bad. It is a great spot for families looking for a fun outdoor experience.
