Great River Bluffs State Park is a secluded campground nestled in the woods above the Mississippi River, offering breathtaking views of the driftless region. With 31 pull-in/back-in sites, 4 cart-in sites, and 5 sites for bicyclists, the campground provides plenty of space for tent and/or hammock camping. Be aware that the only water fill is about 75 feet from the road. There is also a lot of noise from the nearby traffic and trains, as well as light aircraft flying into Lacrosse airport. Bring bug spray and binoculars to take advantage of the great birdwatching opportunities.
