This campground is located in a great spot, just a short walk away from the Gulf of Mexico beach. It is big rig friendly, with over 100 level concrete pull through and back in sites, and full hookups that work well. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they offer discounts with Passport America. The internet connection is fast and reliable, and there is plenty of security lighting. There are a few long-term RVs staying here, and some are not in the best condition, but the management is working to address this. There is also a pool and a Visitors Center with a movie about the destruction from Katrina. Unfortunately, some of the 50 amp posts did not work, and there was an issue with reverse polarity when plugging in. The office was not open at 9:00 am, so cash had to be dropped through the mail slot to pay for the sites. They do not offer refunds, even though they said they had a waiting list of 25.
